Moving Day

With all the stress of the move, eating solids and growing a new tooth, I've really fallen behind on my blogging and for that I sincerely apologize. For all of you counting I am 1 week away from hitting the 8 month milestone. I am talking up a storm these days. I like to talk to my monkey as I fall asleep. We usually discuss general short comings of my parents.
On March 20th we officially departed Ft. Eustis, VA. Although we were only there a short 6 months we met a lot of really nice people. Our first obstacle was traveling from VA with Max, Helen of Troy, Lunchbox, Chompers, Daddy, Mommy, and I. We did it in one long day. I decided to test mommy's intestinal strength by crying the last 2 hours of our journey. Chompers tested daddy by not using the bathroom for 14 hours. Uncle Bill and Aunt Debbie were kind enough to host us for the weekend but happily waved us off Monday morning. Daddy gave Aunt Debbie the shingles. I looked it up on webmd and made a trip to the local pediatrician to make sure I didn't have a shingle. Thankfully I was declared all clear.
Daddy took a five day sight seeing trip with Max, Lunchbox, Helen of Troy and Chompers to keep him company. I gave Lunchbox a c-note to meow from Peachtree City, GA to Olympia, WA....mission complete. By the way if daddy offers anyone a ride in the jeep, say no, it smells like a barn after that road trip.
Meanwhile mommy and I enjoyed a week at Grandpa's house. We then shipped Harry the Toyota Highlander with the Russian mafia. Uncle Bill helped arrange that meeting. We took the civilized route to Washington and arrived via airplane April 1, 2009. Thank you Southwest. We closed on my new house April 3rd and parents are trying to unpack.....still. Can they be any slower? Here are photos from the move!

I tried to go with the movers. Riding in a box cross country is more desirable than a trip with my parents.............seriously, are we there yet?

Due to weight restrictions they wouldn't let me go on the truck.

Bon Voyage Daddy. Goodluck and godspeed with the animals. (Surprisingly, all 5 of them made it safely to Washington.)

Max ready for the trip. Helen and Lunchbox are not pictured since they rode 3000 miles in the litter box.

Navigator. Did someone eat the map????
