On the Road Again

Mommy decided a road trip was just the thing to get our mind off daddy's departure. We traveled to see Aunt Jane, Uncle Dick, Grandpa and Grandma Chris in Montana. We had an awesome time. We saw Glacier National Park which was beautiful, mommy got to see Montana in a two-seater plane, Aunt Jane cooked awesome food for us, we saw turkey's and deer. It was a really exciting trip. I'm so lucky that I have relatives in so many cool places. Here are some highlights from our trip. I have to go back because mommy forgot to get my picture with Aunt Jane and Uncle Dick.

Mommy and I in the Yakimaw desert on the way home from Montana. Our trip took us through forests, mountains, and deserts in Washington, Idaho and Montana. It was the most beautiful drive.

Here we are in Idaho driving through the mountains.

Me appreciating the beauty of Glacier National Park. Everyone should take a trip. Its spectacular to know the US holds such beauty.

I met a friend while in Montana. His daddy is a Canadian soldier about to deploy and join daddy. We had a blast in his pool.

Me and my grandma singing along with the piano player at the Glacier National lodge.

Bon Voyage Daddy

Shortly after the 4th of July my daddy had to get on the airplane and travel to the desert. I'm still unsure why he didn't just go see grandma she has desert at her house but for some reason he has to be gone for a year. I miss him everyday. No one puts a smile on my face like daddy. Fortunately, his plane was delayed and we had one more opportunity for having a little fun. Daddy is like a giant swing set. I love him so much. I can't wait until I get to see him again!

Me and my daddy. He is GI Joe.

Daddy looking for spare change. (Mommy already got all of mine.)

Someone get me down, I'm not feeling so well......Hey, where did daddy's hair go. Remind me to tell mommy no if she offers to cut my hair at home.

Random Photos

Here are some random photos of my July activites.

Daddy installed baby/doggie jail at the top and bottom of our stairs. I like to practice for my future life of crime by banging on the bars.

Mommy and Daddy took me hiking at Mt Ranier for the 4th of July. Whoever decided to take a jogging stroller up a steep incline just wasn't thinking. The wheels on my ride have not been the same since. I cried a good portion of the way up and down requiring mommy and daddy to carry me much of the way. Hiking is for the granolas.

Awesome view on the way to Mt Ranier.

Here I am at the Mt Ranier base camp. Mt Ranier is 14,411 ft high and covered with glaciers. Mommy loves seeing the mountain on clear days. She refers to it as the BAM or Big #$% Mountain.

Happy Birthday to Will.....well almost

I know, I know you are really confused at this posting. I mean everyone knows my birthday is August 27th. How could anyone forget the 26 hours of labor my mom likes to remind everyone of. So why am I eating birthday cake and blowing out the big number 1? Mommy threw a surprise 1st birthday party for me. Now its really not hard to surprise me since I don't have a clue what a birthday is so the surprise was for daddy. She wanted to give him the opportunity to celebrate my first birthday with me. We had friends and everything. Of course my parents were too busy taking pictures of me to snap shots of my girlfriends Chloe and Kendal or my best bud Ethan. We had so much fun especially when my parents let me eat cake. I have been missing out on heaven. It was awesome. I need to have more of these birthday things. I'm hoping since mommy is turning 30 this month she will feed me some more cake. Keep your fingers crossed.

If I wear this stupid hat will you just give me some cake already.

Sugar makes my clothes fall off. Actually after tanking up on cake I wouldn't sit still for my diaper to be changed. Punishment.....this photo.

Bring on the cake.

Daddy had to wear the hat and didn't get the cake.

What the crap? Why is mommy not sporting the ridiculous party hat?

Father's Day

I try my best not to be sappy on the blog but the next 2 may get a little sweet. I feel so lucky that I got to spend Father's Day with my daddy this year. Not just because its his first Father's Day but I know next year I won't get this opportunity. We are very close to the date in which daddy leaves mommy and I for a year. I can't imagine not seeing him everyday. He makes me laugh harder than anybody else. Mommy tries but she just isn't as much fun. I am thankful that I have the best daddy in the whole world. He is my hero. I'm proud that he willingly fights for our country so maybe one day I won't have to.
For Father's Day mommy took daddy and I to the local air show. We parked at the end of the runway and watched for free because mommy in cheap. Thanks for that one Nana. We had hamburgers and milkshakes along with strained vegtables (guess who got stuck with that crap). It was awesome and I now have a fascination with all things that fly.

Here are some photos of daddy and I on Father's Day. Check out the cool hat I got him.

Our New House

Here are a couple of shots of our new house. I apologize for the disarray my parents are still unpacking.

Kitchen with Chompers trying out the new floors.

Mommy and I playing out front.

Seattle Trip

I know it has been a while since I updated my blog but life in my house never slows down. Mommy has made daddy move furniture up and down steps at least 10 times in attempts to "baby proof" the house. That's a joke. If I can choke, poision or electricute myself on it I find it. Its a challenge for me.
Below are some highlights from our trip to Seattle. We spent 2 nights there after returning from Phoenix in May. For those of you interested we live in Olympia which is approximately 60 miles south of Seattle. The pictures are out of order but you'll get the point.

Happy to be back home after our adventure. This was our first vacation as a family.

Worn out after a day in Seattle's chinatown. It definitely did not look like a Jackie Chan movie.

Mommy and I at the famous Pike's Place Fish Market. The guys really do throw fish.

Mommy, Daddy and I on top of the Space Needle. Can you believe my parents paid $30 bucks for an elevator ride......suckers. I got beach front property in Arizona I'd like for them to look at.
